European Dolls

Germany decided to produce its own set of Sailormoon dolls and merchandise in 1999. The company to receive the license is IGEL. The first doll I got from this series was Queen Beryl. She looked pretty good and I was excited to get more of these dolls. Boy was I suprised when my Moon and Tux arrived. I was really glad that I hadn't order the other senshi. The Moon and Tux are horrible. I would actually have to rate these dolls as being worse than than the Irwin/Bandai America dolls. The set includes, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Tux and Queen Beryl. There are also two boxed outfits, Super Sailormoon and Princess Serenity.

The dolls are 11 1/2" to 12" tall. Both Moon and Beryl come with a stand, comb, brush and mirror. All three dolls have accessories from the show. Tux's mask is molded to his face. He also comes with a sword and does not have a stand. The more I look at the Queen Beryl doll, the more I like her. If you can find her, buy her. Unless you are a die hard fan and have extra money to burn, I would suggest not purchasing the other dolls from this series.
